The M4100SXX began life as a general purpose Linux device server. From there it moved on to become a popular cellular router. Now that the cellular radio manufacturer has left the market we are returning the product to its roots and offering the M4100SXX as a versatile Linux device server.
The software development kit (SDK) for this product is available at no charge from Axis. The M4100SXX runs 2.4 Linux and can easily be upgraded to 2.6 if desired. Although Axis is withdrawing from the Linux SoC market there will be support available through at least July 2011, plenty of time to get this economical box busy addressing your application needs.
