Ctek I/O Modulesand Options
Over the years Ctek's SkyRouters have
demonstrated interoperability with every
major RTU and PLC on the market. Now Ctek has introduced a series of I/O modules that are fully integrated with
the SkyRouter and NetServer application platforms and scaled for real world
endpoint requirements.
Ctek's
SkyRouter Integrated I/O Modules provide the flexibility required to serve a
wide range of analog and digital input requirements, and industrial rated
output control to manage everything from indicator lamps to motor start/stop
operations.
The
16-port I/O module has 8 open collector digital outputs and 8 high impedance
digital/analog inputs. Each output is capable of sinking 350ma of current
individually and with all 8 outputs active 250ma of current sink is available
on each of the 8 driven outputs. In addition each of the digital outputs can be
Pulse Width Modulated (PWM) at 7.8KHz with an 8 bit resolution. Overall, the
output capabilities of the 16-port I/O module
provides a generic interface to output devices such as relays, solenoids,
strikes, low voltage lamps, and stepper motors.
On
the input side the16-port module has 8 inputs that can be configured that can
be configured under software control as 5 volt digital inputs or 0 - 5 volt
analog inputs. Analog to digital conversion resolution on the analog inputs is
12 bit at a sampling rate of 20Hz. A
pulse latching and counting mode of operation detects and counts pulses 3 msec
and larger and maintains an onboard count (32767 maximum) of the pulses that
can be read under software control. Pulse counting allows the digital inputs to
directly interact with a wide range of utility meters including water,
electric, and gas metering systems.
For
applications requiring a more robust output interface Ctek's relay module has 4
independent SPDT mechanical relay circuits, each under software control. Each
relay is capable of handling up to 5 amps at either 30VDC or 250VAC. Switching
speed on a relay circuit is 100msec or less. Ctek's relay module is ideal for
managing mid range lighting, motor control, and digital signage circuits.
Ctek Automation Controllers also offer
a SPST 15 amp relay for higher current
applications. Use this option to switch on pumps, motors, or to perform remote
resets on equipment racks.
